I luv Miro and I tried to make some suggestions about videosearch improvements. It is unfortunate that there is one site for everything, but it's all scattered around the web in different sites... this for testing, another for forum (where I can't log-in or register) another for support (getsatisfaction.com) and so forth. It makes it very difficult to get in touch with the community and to share ideas. Anyhow if you like you can check out the post here where I also placed some quick comps to better explain the idea.

Cheers!

I am a retired hardware/software test and diagnostics engineer. For the past six years I've focused upon learning all aspects of multimedia. At present, I am exploring use of VideoLan (VLC) Player for format conversions. I operate my own server so that I can control both ends of the pipe for testing purposes. I'm not sure what you want in this area but contact me if you need help.

Hi - the best place to start would be on the QA wiki page (http://www.getmiro.com/wiki/index.php/Miro_Quality_Assurance).

There a list of a few areas where we can use some help.

Also - my contact info is at the bottom of that page - send me an email if you want.

I agree that we can use better coverage testing the various linux platforms.

It would be great if there were more linux volunteers who are willing to build from source and test out the application as we make changes.

A source nightly build is posted along with the windows and os x builds every day.
