Go rate some stuff!
We rolled out ratings a while ago, but we recently made a big push for them with a Top Rated page and a blog post. Now I’m throwing my hat in the ring.
Currently, there are about 950 ratings (100 of them are “Not Interested”). I’d like to start working on personalized recommendations, but I’d like to have some more data. A lot more data. I’d like about 2000 ratings so that I’ve got a good range for adding this new feature. If you all could rate some more channels, I’d really appreciate it. Also, you’ll appreciate it when the guide can tell you about new channels you’ll like. ![]()

Paul,
I just tried rating Lovebites as a 5-star. I think it worked, but there is no apparent feedback that indicates that a rating click has actually happened. I went to the Home page then Searched for Lovebites again to see that it had increased from 2 to 3 ratings. Maybe it’s just a fluke. I am using a Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.10 and Firefox — Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7
THX!

Do the stars show up for you? If they are, the stars aren’t turning yellow? If they aren’t, does the rating widget say your current rating?
