An Epiphany of Sorts
Posted by Rick K.
As I eluded to in my last blog post, we’re trying to work a regular series of posts into the Miro blog profiling those who either create or publish video content.
A week and almost a dozen emails later, I’ve got bumpkus.
I’ve received a few (two) responses to my initial inquiries and none to my follow-ups.
At first I thought maybe people weren’t interested, but then I thought some more about it and it occurred to me that if I had a video related site, I’d be stoked about the prospect of having my site both featured in the guide and profiled in a pretty well read blog…for free.
That’s when it dawned on me, maybe I just suck.

Hey Rick,
I read the planet blog and miro blog everyday. I may not respond or comment that often, only cause I am very interested in the information put forward. Plus I don’t blog comment often at all, but I do enjoy reading them to get an idea where things are going. so don’t feel that it is personal, but keep the updates coming there are many of us who want to keep reading them.

Rick don’t get discouraged. I helped out quite a bit with Miro related stuff last summer and it sometimes is just hit and miss. Sometimes people are really interested and sometimes they aren’t! And it all depends, could be that they were just busy and didn’t see the e-mail. Sometimes the e-mail addresses that are listed don’t actually go to the content creators, so that’s one thing to look for! So the manager of the website or something might be getting the e-mail. Definitely don’t take it personally!

I really appreciate your words of encouragement. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit traveling to be with family. The time away has lit a bit of a fire under my butt to approach promoting Miro with some renewed vigor. Thnx so much.
