Miro 1.2.3 rc0 released!
Posted by wguaraldi
Did a release of Miro 1.2.3 rc0 today. This fixes some problems with Miro on Windows, adds xulrunner 1.9 support for gtkx11, works on Hardy (with Hardy packages, too), fixes a problem with external torrents disappearing, and other things as well. I also did another translation sync today, so it’s got the most up-to-date translations available.
The release candidate is available at http://pculture.org/nightlies/.
Hardy packages available in our Hardy repository. Details at http://getmiro.com/download/ubuntu.php.

WordPress. Theme based on Simplism, but without bits I found irritating. I'm still toying with it.

Today I’m testing 1.2.3 on Ubuntu hardy. I’m sorry to say it’s bad. When I start a video Miro goes automatically fullscreen, the screen became black and my xserver got killed.
I repeated this some times with the same result.

Try switching to the other renderer? I’ve been having problems with xine on Hardy.

There are a bunch of things in Hardy that are moving targets because they’re pushing hard towards a release candidate. It’s possible that it’s a problem with other packages. I think I picked up a new xserver today. Try doing an update and see what happens.
